Thanks to every one for supporting the first campaign of Joy of Sharing, It wouldn't have been a grand success without your involvement. We would also like to thank each and every person who has contributed for the blankets that were donated to homeless people sleeping around the road side, in and around the twin city Hyderabad & Secunderabad. Also the distrubution of blankets took place for kids and old age home at Sai Nagar Thukaramgate Secunderabad. We have interacted with kids and explained the importance of sharing with others and we taught them Meditation
We were astonished by overwhelming response from students who wanted to volunteer. We had to limit people because of limitation of bikes available with us to conduct the task. We gathered 35 volunteers and we started distributing the blankets near Indira park and moving towards Narayan guda. Later we split in to three groups moving in different directions
Team 1: Narayanguda, Secunderabad, Clocktower, Paradise, Begumpet, Ameerpet, Yousufguda, Somajiguda
Team 2: Masab tank, Lakdika pull, Mahindipatnam,Toli chowki
Team 3: LB Nagar, Dilshuknagar, Koti, Abids
The donation drive continued regardless of the chilling harsh weather, that didnt face off the determination of our volunteers. After successful donation of all the blankets we assembled near Hyderabad Central at around 4:00 AM and had a quick Tea & Snac time with the team.
